Bloody Mesut Ozil is really a distraction and needs sorting and for Ray Parlour it is simple, Ozil should stay and become more consistent

“If Mesut is going to play a part in getting Arsenal back in the top four, then the club should keep him,” Parlour told Press Association Sport.

“But he has got to work hard.

“I played with Dennis Bergkamp and he very rarely had a poor game – you always knew what you would get out of him – and that is what Mesut needs to do, too.

“The best players are consistent and I want to see that from Mesut. He is a quality player but he goes in and out of games, and it could be argued that he goes missing in the big matches. That is when you need your top men to perform.

“He should have that in his locker. He has won the World Cup and starred for massive clubs. He just needs to show that desire to play for his team-mates and show more energy.”

But how many more chances must we give hin?

He isn't a patch on Dennis he was a true legend and we will never see a player as good as him again in his position in fact i don't think Ozil would even get into any Arsenal side that Dennis played in, the entire squad gave their all for the shirt and the club , I don't see that mentality in Ozil. I think he should be sold Ray, and cheaply if that's what it takes.

Oh Ray! Dear lovable  "one of the lads" but not the brightest  brain in the box RAY! Do you not think ALL Gooners would love what you  suggest  and hope for? But Ray,  darling Ray, a great guy, fine players  and Gooner to your fingertips, what you say is NEVER going to happen. Sorry to break your naive but lovable heart Ray but  to  expect Ozil to start working hard NOW, after all these years is  for the  birds!

Have to agree with @tommogun58 and @jon-fox

I cannot think of a once world class player that declines that all of a sudden finds his game again.

But I can think of hundreds, literally, that once their game has gone it never recovers and in my opinion, Ozil's game has gone and will never come back.
